Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Large Format Sublimation Printer Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining sublimation printers to produce high-quality prints for sportswear and other custom products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate large format sublimation printers, ensuring print quality and precision.
- Prepare and load print files, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design specifications.
- Monitor the printing process to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Calibrate printers for accurate color reproduction and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Work closely with the design team to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
- Manage inventory of inks, papers, and other printing materials, notifying the procurement team of restocking needs.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating large format sublimation printers.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in RIP software
- Strong understanding of color management and ICC profiles.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and software issues related to printing.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a certificate or diploma in graphic arts or a related field is a plus).
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for color accuracy, print alignment, and quality control.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the production and design teams.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sublimation printing for sportswear or apparel.
- Knowledge of textile types and their behavior in sublimation processes.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
